KAZASHKO · 30 September 2026
Bulgaria's National Early Warning and Public Alert System is tested twice a year, on the first working day of April and of October, at 11:00, using sound signals.
The autumn drill took place on 1 October 2026 at 11:00 in Sofia, Varna, Burgas and about ten other regional cities, in the municipal centres of those regions and in some other municipalities. The sirens are triggered by the national and regional control centres.
If you hear a siren at 11:00 on the first working day of April or October, it is a scheduled test. The next one is expected on 1 April 2027.
