By bike, on foot and by kayak: the Varna Lake tour stops in Kazashko

On 18 October cyclists and walkers circle Varna Lake. Kazashko is the last stop before the finish, with a refreshment point for participants.

On Sunday, 18 October 2026, the latest Tour of Varna Lake takes place. This year participants choose between three routes: by bike (about 40 km), on foot (about 22 km) or by kayak (about 10 km). It is organised by the Ustrem cycling club and the Rodni Balkani tourist society, with support from Varna Municipality.

Kazashko is the last stop before the finish. The village has a refreshment point for cyclists and walkers:

  • Cyclists set off at 9:00 from the Cathedral in Varna, ride through Beloslav and take the ferry, and reach Kazashko at about 14:30. The finish is between 15:30 and 16:00.
  • Walkers start from Taverna Panorama, also go through Beloslav and take the ferry, and reach Kazashko at about 16:00. From there they return to Varna by bus. Registration is required for walkers.

The kayakers paddle between Strashimirovo and Beloslav and do not pass through the village.

The tour aims to promote the lake as a place for walks and leisure near Varna. If you are in Kazashko in the afternoon, come out and welcome the participants. Last year the tour finished in the village's lakeside park.
