On 21 September 2019 Kazashko was officially twinned with the Cossack stanitsa (settlement) of Natukhayevskaya near Novorossiysk.
The COVID-19 pandemic got in the way of many joint projects, but the connection continued through greetings, music videos and visits. “Vsyo vperedi!” (“The best is yet to come!”), wrote the mayor's office to mark two years of twinning.
