Kazashko celebrates 120 years
On 17 August 2025, the village marked 120 years since the first Lipovan Cossacks settled there with an anniversary concert on the square.

On 17 August 2025, Kazashko marked 120 years since 1905, when the first Lipovan Cossacks, led by Matvey Rusov, settled on the shore of Lake Varna. The anniversary concert began at 18:00, with Tedi Genev, the Elektra ballet, Olga Vasilenko and the Kalinushka folk group.
“120 years of history, memory and traditions! 120 years of work, joys and tears! Kazashko is the home we love to come back to!”, the mayor's office wrote.
The village prepared for the anniversary. Before the celebration the potholes in the streets were patched, and according to the mayor's office new pavements were also due to be built.
