Kalinushka wins first prize at the “Thrace, the Land of Orpheus” festival
The Kalinushka folk group of the Mikhail Sholokhov – 1958 community centre brought home first prize from the international festival. The jury was chaired by Mimi Ivanova.

The Kalinushka folk group of the Mikhail Sholokhov – 1958 community centre (chitalishte) won First Prize at the International Festival “Thrace, the Land of Orpheus”. The jury was chaired by the singer Mimi Ivanova.
The group performed Old Believer and Cossack songs, guided by the festival's motto, “Conquer with the lyre, not the sword”. It is one of the village's best-known faces.
