Kazashko is the subject of the second film in the educational series “Grad, tseluvnat ot moreto – Sharen krastopat” (“A City Kissed by the Sea – A Colourful Crossroads”). The series presents ten communities and ethnic groups in Varna and the region.
The film was made by young people for young people: the presenters, scriptwriters, camera operators and editors are all young. It was produced by the non-profit association Press Club Varna, with support from the “Ti i Lidl for a Better Life” programme, the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation and the Bulgarian Donors' Forum.
The footage shows the Maslenitsa festival, an interview with mayor Gergana Petkova, the fishing traditions and the village's 115-year history.
