On 27 June 2023 the community centre in Kazashko marked its 65th anniversary with a concert with international participation.

The Mikhail Sholokhov – 1958 community centre (chitalishte) marked its 65th anniversary with a concert on 27 June 2023 from 18:00. Georgian, Moldovan and Ukrainian dance and singing ensembles took to the stage.

The concert was colourful, loud and cheerful. According to the organisers, the Georgian children's dances drew the biggest applause.

The official part paid tribute to the people who have led the community centre over the years. Its chairs have been Dragoy Georgiev, Andrean Fomov, Atanas Atanasov, Bonka Vasileva, Valentina Miteva and Valentin Ferdov. Its secretaries have been Sidonia Stefanova, Norka Grozdanova, Tanya Lipolitova, Nastya Isakieva, Ilona Marinova and Katya Dimitrova.

Founded in 1958 as “a unifying centre for the culture of two peoples”, Bulgarians and Cossacks, the community centre still brings people together today through “the purest diplomacy: friendships born of the stage and of art”.
